MeteorCalc introduces a revolutionary, completely new approach to designing electrical components of outdoor lighting networks, such as street or tunnel lighting installations.

The program fully automates all electrical engineering calculations, creating specifications or drawing electrical diagrams.

MeteorCalc SL supports 230/400 V (TN) 50 Hz voltage systems for street lighting networks and the metric unit system in DWG files. Nominal voltage can be adjusted between 220/380 V – 250/440 V according to regional standards.

Main features of MeteorCalc SL program

Version 2.0 of MeteorCalc SL provides the following functions:

– Simulation of street lighting networks of any complexity,

– Calculation of short-circuit currents based on IEC60909 (latest 2016 edition),

– Voltage loss calculations. Voltage losses in balanced load street lighting supply conductors are calculated individually for each phase, taking into account the voltage loss in the neutral conductor,

– Calculation of total power and load currents. Load currents in street lighting power supplies are calculated separately for each phase and for the neutral conductor,

– Hardware specifications. Specifications are available for street lamp poles, pole foundations, luminaires, cables, cable routes, grounding devices, electrical fixtures and internal wiring,

– Obtain a data table of street lighting units used in the project. Multilingual output on drawings,

– Automatic drawing of detailed simplified wiring diagrams of street lighting power supplies.

Additional features of MeteorCalc SL:

– Assigning data to single or multiple objects within a power supply. Automatic numbering of street lighting units. Automatic distribution by phase,

– Automatic display of street lighting unit and cable data in information tags,

– External reports with specification results. The external report can be created as a text file or exported as a CSV file to an external spreadsheet application,

– User customized data libraries of street lighting units. Shared data repository allows data exchange between multiple users,

– Integrated electrical cable data library. The purpose of the cable database is to support any type of electrical cables used in the street lighting network,

– Creation of 3D models of street lighting units located in the simulated lighting network,

– Detailed reports of calculation procedures. An external report can be created as a text file containing detailed descriptions of all steps of the calculation procedure,

– Built-in Help System. Automatic control of street lighting models. Built-in commands for managing program layers. There are many auxiliary commands to improve and speed up work.
