Licensing methods and types of licenses
There are two methods of licensing the GstarCAD program: an activation code assigned to a specific computer and a USB dongle. In the latter case, the license is assigned to the USB key, and not to a specific computer, which allows you to run the full version of the program on any computer to which the key is currently connected.
The license gives the user the right to use the program on a single workstation. It can be transferred between workstations, but each time it is necessary to deactivate it first and activate it on the new computer.
Network licensing is intended for companies that use at least 3 or more licenses.
Such licenses are “stored” on the so-called license server (which can be any computer operating in the company’s internal network).
Each user can “download” the license from the server and run the program on their local workstation. After finishing work, the license is automatically returned to the server.
Network licensing is most often used by companies that want to optimize the number of licenses needed and use them efficiently on multiple workstations.
Licența oferă utilizatorului dreptul de a utiliza programul pe un singur post de lucru. Totuși, aceasta poate fi transferată între posturi prin reconectarea dongle-ului USB căruia îi este atribuită. Licența este activă pe computerul la care cheia este conectată.
În cazul unei defecțiuni mecanice sau electronice, cheia USB este înlocuită gratuit.
Notă: Vă rugăm să rețineți că pierderea dongle-ului USB înseamnă pierderea licenței. Din păcate, dongle-urile nu sunt monitorizate în niciun fel și nu avem posibilitatea de a verifica dacă licența este încă utilizată sau a dispărut efectiv.
